MSU Vet-a-Visit

http://www.michiganpets.net/index.php?app=calendar&module=calendar&do=showevent&cal_id=1&event_id=55

MSU.edu Vet-a-Visit Link

Saturday March 27, 2010
Free Admission, Free Parking, Lots of information about all types of animals

The veterinary college at Michigan State University opens their campus every year to anyone who'd like to visit for the day. They have a stuffed animal clinic where kids can have their toy 'pets' seen by training vet & vet tech students. Then there's the live exhibits: horses, rabbits, cows, dogs, reptiles, birds of prey....

My daughter & I go every year, and I always learn something new. We get there around 10am, stay well past the 4pm cut off time, and never get to see everything. There's just so much to do & see, its almost impossible to get it all done in one day. I highly recommend this for EVERYONE! Even if you arent interested in their school or becoming a vet, or vet tech... if you love animals, I promise you'll have a good time.

Check out the link above, as there are details on specific booths & topics that'll be discussed.

As a side note - I'd recommend you pack a lunch. The only food on campus are subs, chips, pop, candy, water... Not much for choices, especially if you have picky kids. We pack a few bottles of juice & some sandwhiches into a small cooler and it holds up really well. Being in March, the weather is typically pretty mild.

Hope to see you all there! <img src='http://www.michiganpets.net/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
