What? Are you exaggerating, or for real? Did it leave a mark?Posted Image Draw blood?

I've dealt with bird bites (although it's best to learn to avoid one), but 10 minutes with a little creature hanging on would freak me out (no matter how colorful).

heh, nope. Not exaggerating. once a tokay latches on, pretty much all you can do is.... wait :P
I actually wish she had gotten a "better" bite, cause she only grabbed the top of my finger and there wasnt a ton of skin, she darned-near tore it off. in the end, she only drew a tiiiiny it of blood, but it wasnt very comfortable nonetheless lol

No, but I still can't believe you would have the presence of mind to make sure you get pictures. Unbelievable! I actually had to walk away for a minute after looking at them.

Can Isthmus be friendly at times? Can you usually read their body language to avoid getting bitten?

Those cute little cresties wouldn't do a thing like that, would they? I think they're more my speed...

What am I saying?...no, birds...I'm sticking with birds...Posted Image

yes, sometimes Isthmus is very friendly but Tokay geckos are notorious for being evil little creatures lol
I usually can avoid being bitten, but sometimes i just dont pay enough attention. i dont really mind it though, it comes with the territory.

And crested geckos are the complete opposite end of the spectrum- nicest geckos everrr :) I love the little guys and they are super friendly :)
