Here are some pics from the recent event in Port Huron that some members attended; just to let you know, Joe took the pics and uploaded them to the site... then he allowed me to do the fun part... write up the little blurbs. Have a look.... Hope you enjoy the pics as much as we enjoyed attending the event! Thank you all for being such GREAT MP Members! Teresa *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Before we get into the animals.... let us stop and take a look at our new Polo Shirts! YEAH... Joe finally broke down and got me a polo shirt... How do you like? It was kinda funny because we went to Applebee's afterward and people were asking us where we were from.... Next step... saturate Michigan with MP tshirts! I'm thinking Neon Green and Bright Orange! *~* OK, ON WITH THE SHOW *~* This wonderful lady was spinning angora fur. She had two of her bunnies with her and was teaching the kids about gathering the angora, spinning it and then weaving it into a wearable piece of art! She had samples of both dyed and undyed angora spun. The big fluff ball at her knees was a bunny that is ready to shed, she said she can get about a pound of angora a year from each rabbit. She was amazing! Here she is letting us all pet the bunnies. And, spinning the angora into yarn. The Setter Club was there with their Beautiful Dogs! I do believe Joe took these pics simply because of the Jacket... he see's green and white, he snaps! Awe, I soo loved this pup. Her name is Jennie. The owner told me that when he went to get a companion that day, he was planning on getting a big strong dog due to the fact that he only has one leg and didn't want to have to deal with a sickly or runt of the litter. Well, guess what... she was the runt! But, she just kept following him, wouldn't let him go anywhere without her right behind. Yup... he couldn't say no. She went home with him, she's now a year old and their love for each other was so cool to see. MSU's booth WOW... look at all the people; it was a great turn out

WOW.. she let me hold her precious Cockatoo... that bird is awesome, such a beautiful color!

As you may be able to tell, I was in awe at this Black Milksnake







Fraggin and his girlfriend ... they invested lots of time and energy that day!





WooHoo, two at once!



The children all wanted to hold a snake.... This little girl said... "I can't wait to tell my teacher that I held a SNAKE!"








Apprehensive?



Ewe... Slimey?



Nope, Simply the coolest thing he ever got to hold!



These guys were great... they know so much about reptiles and shared it freely.





The booth was packed like this all day.

LUCKY..... Everyone got to see LUCKY; he is looking great, thanks to Fraggin's wonderful care ** if you haven't heard about Lucky... here is his story: LUCKY **



I think every single person at the event asked about Lucky, some simply wondered what it was but most were thrilled to see him..... WOW was the word of the day near Lucky's home away from home.



He is looking so good!





And now.... on to Iayla's Chins and Rats



Yup, that's me... simply "helping" Barb out. She was busy with the rats, so what else could I do.. he he





She just wanted to snuggle!



She was sooo loveable!



Honest, I wasn't trying to sneak her out.....

Did I mention, I loved that Chin?

The kids were all amazed at how incredibly soft these guys were.

It was an absolute blast Sam...hey, maybe next time we can team up with your critters and mine? Two tables of nothin but scaly things!

OH, BTW Joe and Teresa, I definitely want a couple of those polos!!

I couldnt get online all weekend (crazy work hours + the expo thing) but I had a blast Saturday. I got to meet people from here, and lots of other folks, and learned just as much information as what I was sharing with others.

I would definately attend something like this again, Well worth it!
(minus Teresa trying to smuggle my favorite chinchilla into her jacket)
